Nominate your next Board representative!
The nomination process for the 2022-2023 Board of Directors will open in Spring 2022.
According to IGIA bylaws, the Board of Directors shall consist of 22 directors from various member categories. Those include: 10 directors elected from the category of retailers; two directors elected from the category of wholesalers; two directors elected from the category of convenience stores and seven directors elected from the categories of brokers and manufacturers and one director from the at-large category.
What’s Expected of an IGIA Board Director?
The IGIA Board of Directors holds four regularly scheduled board meetings per year, generally in the months of September, December, February and April. Special meetings are sometimes called, either in-person or by telephone conference call. All board directors are asked to sit on at least one IGIA committee for the Association, attend the major events of the Association, support promotions of the Association and be actively engaged in legislative activities and support. Being an active IGIA Board Director is one of the great ways to participate in and give back to the industry. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact IGIA President Michelle Hurd or any of the current IGIA Board of Directors.
