IGIA Women's Network Special Event Wednesday, Sept. 17 (Convention Day 1), 2-3 PM Hyatt Regency Hotel & Conference Center Member Cost: $50 Eileen Gannon, founder and owner of Sunday Night Foods After 35 years of working in corporate America, Eileen Gannon launched Sunday Night Foods at the age of 55. She could have easily retired because retiring at 55 had been her goal since high school. But when she finally reached that age, her goal had changed. It wasn’t to retire from working; it was to retire from working for someone else. Eileen was finally brave enough – and experienced enough – to launch a passion project in specialty food that had been at the back of her mind for decades. As the youngest of 14 children on an Iowa farm, she learned to bake out of necessity, but soon grew to love it. She has since won over 600 baking awards. Eileen launched her first line of premium, clean-label chocolate sauces in 2021 and has won a sofi Award from the Specialty Food Association every year since, including a Grand Finalist Award for Best New Product in 2024. Refreshments sponsored by Gallo. |

Matt Stutzman — "The Armless Archer" Inexplicably born without arms in December of 1982, Matt was adopted in 1984 by Leon and Jean Stutzman, a remarkably patient, compassionate, and strong-willed couple. The Stutzmans guided Matt through a youth of seemingly insurmountable obstacles of everyday living largely taken for granted in an able-bodied world. Their philosophy was simple: Matt was permitted to try almost anything… if he could do it on his own. Today, remarkably, Matt lives without any prosthetics in a completely unadapted world. His home, car, and life are void of modifications, having found a way to do virtually everything with his feet—including eating, grooming, writing, playing guitar, car maintenance, and extraordinary abilities with a bow and arrow. Matt learned to use a bow and arrow to join his father while hunting. Eventually, it became his passion and evolved into his dream to become the world’s best archer. Though many may argue otherwise, Matt considers his physical challenges advantageous to archery. His style of shooting with his leg provides great stability, and a lifetime of patience and tenacity are deeply ingrained characteristics that serve any athlete well. |
