About the LEAD Conference:
The IGIA LEAD Council will host their second annual LEAD Conference on June 10, which brings together up-and-coming and established leaders in the grocery, convenience and food industry. This is a great opportunity for intentional networking, with time set aside for group conversations. We'll also hear from two excellent speakers—Erik Dominguez and Dr. Celina Peerman—on leadership and communication topics, plus a panel discussion from members of the IGIA board of directors. The event also includes a community service component: Participants will packs summer snack kits for Youth & Shelter Services kids camp attendees. We will break for a lunch provided at the venue.

If you've never taken part in the IGIA Leadership Institute, this one-day conference is a great glimpse into what you would gain from that four-session program. Maybe you've already attended the Leadership Institute — come and connect with your past classmates and sharpen your leadership skills while networking with new connections. Registration is open to all members! ​

2025 LEAD Conference Speakers

Erik Dominguez — Keynote Speaker
Erik is an expert in communication and public speaking who empowers individuals and teams to find their authentic voice and share their stories with confidence. He draws on his journey as a first-generation immigrant to inspire audiences to embrace vulnerability and lead with authenticity.

For over 25 years, Erik has used a team-oriented approach to inspire audiences, transform teams, and coach individuals to:

• Speak with confidence
• Motivate their teams
• Inspire their mission
• Share their stories
• Present with power
• Gain clarity in their message
• Transform their personal and professional lives.

Anyone who hears Erik's presentation will have takeaways on how to foster connections, lead with confidence, and build relationships through authentic communication.

Dr. Celina Peerman
Dr. Celina Peerman currently serves as an organizational psychologist with over 27 years of experience from front line to senior level positions, in a wide range of industries and organizations. Celina is a strategist with a sense of humor and a love for building capacity in organizations.

Celina holds a Ph.D. in Psychology, a master’s degree in business, with undergraduate degrees in psychology and international studies. She is a TEDx presenter, podcaster, and writer. She usually sees over 250 groups a year or about 6000 people, including large and small groups with many one-on-ones. Her content is aimed at helping teams maximize potential for an even more positive impact on those around them.
