Sponsored by the Iowa Grocers Education Foundation through the Iowa Grocery Industry Association
The Iowa Grocers Education Foundation (IGEF) awards $2,000 scholarships to high school seniors and undergraduate students who are children of full-time employees or $1,500 scholarships to students who are full-time or part-time employees of firms that are members of the Iowa Grocery Industry Association (IGIA).

Our administrative partner, Bâton Global, will consider your application only if they receive your most recent transcript(s) as a PDF attachment via email before March 1st, 2024. They will accept official or unofficial transcripts. If you've attended multiple colleges/universities, please send them all of your transcripts. If possible, they're looking to see a cumulative, unweighted GPA for your entire collegiate record, but they recognize some schools only show weighted GPA on a transcript.
Send transcripts via email to igef_scholarship@batonglobal.com. The subject line of your email should read: [Student Last Name]-[Student First Name]-[Application ID] Transcript. For example:

Who is eligible?
Scholarship winners will be chosen by a selection committee of an independent scholarship management service provider and notified in April. Recipients must be enrolled at a college/university for the Fall semester of 2024.
- Children of full-time employees of firms that are members of the IGIA. The parent must have been employed for at least two years as of January 1, 2024.
- Employees (full-time or part-time) who are full-time students employed by firms that are members of the IGIA. Applicants must have worked a minimum of 300 hours during the 12-month period between January 1, 2023, and December 31, 2023.
