IGIA's LEAD Council will host their first Emerging Leaders event on May 1 at Juniper & Olive cafe in Jewell, IA, just north of the Des Moines metro. Registration is open to all members. If you're interested in connecting with new people and expanding your network in the grocery industry, you'll find this morning networking event to be worth your time. The Emerging Leaders event series was imagined specifically as an opportunity to invite professionals who are new to their companies or new to the grocery/food industry to have a place within IGIA and help them to socialize and build familiarity with others in the industry. The format of Emerging Leaders events is similar to IGIA's Cocktails and Conversations — forgoing a formal program, this is an opportunity for open conversation with industry peers. We encourage you to show up with an openness to good conversations and perhaps a few business cards in hand.
