What You Need to Know
IGIA Member Ambassadors
Long-time members of the IGIA will be on hand to act as ambassadors throughout the convention for newer attendees. These individuals can help
you get the most out of your convention experience by welcoming you to the event, helping you to get signed in, providing guidance, answering your questions and making beneficial introductions. Please be sure to select “yes” to the first-time attendee question on your convention registration so we can pair you up with an ambassador, or just give us a call at 515.270.2628 and ask for Cara Corkrean, and an ambassador will be assigned to you.
IGIA Registration Area
When you are done golfing or touring, tasting and exploring on Wednesday, IGIA Staff will be at Principal Park handing out name badges and “Perks Packages” so be sure to stop by the registration area after you check into your hotel room. You can also pick up an event guide with the convention schedule and get signed up for IGEF Scholarship Auction bidding on your mobile phone as well.
Let the registration table be your one-stop shop for information about all things Convention-related. We are happy to answer any of your event questions and get you signed up for the IGIA Hall of Fame event too.
The convention dress code is business casual so feel free to be comfortable in khaki pants, slacks and short-sleeved shirts. No suits, ties or jackets needed. Depending on the temperature, dresses, crop pants and shorts are also acceptable. We recommend dressing in layers or bringing along a light sweater as temperatures vary in meeting rooms. We also suggest packing bug repellent, sunscreen, a jacket, sunglasses, comfortable walking shoes and an umbrella for outdoor activities.
For those who have registered for and plan to attend the Hall of Fame Dinner, the suggested dress is business attire.
