Iowa ABD: Important Information Regarding Your License
May 28, 2021 |
As you know, the Governor’s Proclamation of Disaster Emergency temporarily suspended the expiration of alcohol licenses and permits with an expiration date of 5/6/2020 or later.
The current proclamation expires on May 30, 2021. At that time, if you have not done so, you will be required to pay the renewal fee for your license or permit that was deferred by the Governor’s proclamation. You must complete this renewal and payment in order to hold an active license or permit and to continue selling or serving alcohol.
ABD recently launched a new licensing system, eLAPS. For security purposes, your bank account information was not migrated from eLicensing to eLAPS. Even if you previously submitted payment information in eLicensing, you must log in to eLAPS to submit payment for your renewal. Please note that if you have not completed your 2021 renewal application, you will still be required to complete and submit payment before your annual renewal date.
As part of our new application review process in eLAPS, payment is due at the time of application submission. eLAPS does accept credit card payments. For the best user experience, please use Google Chrome as the web browser. At this time, it is recommended you use a desktop or laptop computer instead of a mobile device.
Please visit the eLAPS resource page at https://abd.iowa.gov/licensing/elaps for more information. Quick reference guides are available for owner self-registration, non-owner self-registration, and how to complete an outstanding payment for your renewal.
