You can’t get more Midwest than pulled pork, corn and barbecue sauce — other than putting it all on top of a Casey's General Store pizza.

After spending two weeks hinting at its newest pizza creation, Casey’s General Store announced that it’s launching a new Midwest-inspired pizza, complete with pulled pork, bacon, fire-roasted corn and Sweet Baby Ray’s Barbecue Sauce.

The new, yet-to-be-named mystery Midwest pizza will go on sale starting Sunday.

“We take our pizza seriously here,” said Art Sebastian, Casey’s vice president of digital experience. “It really is Midwest inspired. The ingredients are sourced in the Midwest, which is important to us.”

Casey’s culinary staff studied food trends and what items were popular with consumers, Sebastian said. What's retained popularity with people? Barbecue sauce and bacon. Combined with the popularity of pulled pork in Midwest cities like Kansas City, Sebastian said the company feels like it has a new winner.

A naming contest for the new pizza will run between Sunday and Sept. 14. The person who submits the winning name will be announced Sept. 28 and get a yearlong supply of Casey’s pizza.

The specialty pizza will go on sale for $15.99.
