Hy-Vee hands out hundreds of cases of water in thirsty Chariton

Todd Magel, Anchor/Reporter KCCI

CHARITON, Iowa — People in Chariton are still under a boil advisory.

City officials told KCCI the pipes lost pressure due to a problem in the distribution system. That creates the potential for bacterial contamination.

The boil order is in place until further notice.

KCCI’s Todd Magel is in Chariton where Hy-Vee is handing out hundreds of cases of bottled water for thirsty citizens. He’ll have more tonight at 5 and 6.
