Johnson Brothers of Iowa is pleased to announce its 2010 sales drive to raise funds for the Iowa Grocers Education Foundation Scholarship Endowment Fund.

This will be the second straight year Johnson Brothers of Iowa has supported the Iowa Grocery Industry Association with this program.

“In 2009, we were proud to have raised $9,966 for scholarships,” said Lyle Stutzman, general manager for Johnson Brothers of Iowa. “During these challenging times, we want to assist those individuals in our industry looking to advance their career with additional education.”

The 2010 sales program will run during the months of May and June, donating $1 to the IGEF for every case of wine sold under the brands of Robert Mondavi, Relax, Luccio Moscato D’Asti, Cupcake, Kendall-Jackson, Fetzer and Black Swan.

“The 2010 sales program is very exciting and our goal is to raise over $10,000 for scholarships,” said Stutzman.

Johnson Brothers of Iowa, which is celebrating its 25th anniversary in Iowa this year, will announce the total amount raised when it presents a check to the Iowa Grocers Education Foundation at the 2010 IGIA Convention July 7-9 in Okoboji.

The Iowa Grocers Education Foundation Scholarship Endowment Fund is the primary source of money for scholarships given to children of full-time employees working for IGIA members or students who are full-time or part-time employees of firms that are members of the IGIA. The IGEF was established for the sole purpose of funding scholarship awards to deserving students.
