SNAP Benefits System to be Down Briefly on June 9
June 9, 2010

It has been confirmed that the State of Iowa and Affiliated Computer Systems, the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program benefits provider, will be moving their data center on Wednesday, June 9. The change window will be from 10 p.m. to 11 p.m. During the change window, there will be a seven- to 10-minute time frame when the system will be down and the retailers will need to use manual vouchers to process EBT purchases. If your stores are open at this time, please alert them as soon as possible.

If you have any questions regarding the EBT system, please feel free to contact Iowa Department of Human Services Program Planner Tracy Penick at 515-281-4935 or tpenick@dhs.state.ia.us. Penick has taken the place of Jan Walters, who took early retirement with the state last month.
