Kicking off Convention at Kinnick Stadium

Whether you bleed black and gold, wear a cheese hat or stand high for Cy, no matter what team you root for, there is something for everyone to enjoy at this year’s Kinnick Kickoff event on Tuesday, July 11 of the IGIA Get Connect Convention. Come dressed in your favorite team apparel and enjoy kicking it back at historic Kinnick Stadium as we kick off convention in a spectacular fashion.

Home of Iowa Hawkeye football, Kinnick Stadium ranks among the top 25 largest college-owned stadiums in the nation and is reputed to be one of college football's finest facilities.

This new event to convention features former Iowa Hawkeye Heisman nominee quarterback and coach, Chuck Long, who will be available for photos and autographs. Don’t miss your chance to hang with Chuck and other university celebrities, play tailgating games, win one of several cool door prizes, munch on a mountain of tailgate-themed food and more.

To get in on all the fun, plan to be there from start to finish. The event begins at 6 p.m. in the Mediacom Outdoor Club at the Kinnick Stadium Press Box and ends at 9 p.m. The Mediacom Outdoor Club is an indoor space located directly behind the Outdoor Club seating, spanning the entire length of the playing field. The east side of the building includes a wall of windows that allows for a spectacular view of the Iowa Hawkeye Football playing field and the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. The west side of the building includes a wall of windows that provides a view of the Hansen Football Performance Center.

If you find yourself running late, don’t sweat it! Express convention registration will be available at the Kinnick Stadium Press Box from 6 – 7 p.m. Complimentary parking is available after 4:30 p.m. just west of the stadium in lot 43.

We’re cheering for you to have a great time!
