2009 Iowa Products Issue

In addition to its inviting Midwestern values, the state of Iowa produces several outstanding products for America's grocery industry. The vast array of food items surrounding Ken Waller, IGIA chairman and Hy-Vee executive vice president and CAO, are some of the best of this nation's Heartland. They're all either made or packaged right here in the state and are definitely worth a taste.

2009 Legislative Issue

The underside of the dome of the Iowa State Capitol Building is a magnificent sight that has a wonderful history. The dome is 275 feet above ground level and is 80 feet wide in diameter. It is primarily made of 23-karat gold, which carries a total weight of 100 troy ounces. In the center is the logo of the Grand Army of the Republic, a symbolic image of the American Civil War. It is underneath all this splendor where Iowa's elected officials come together every year as a government of the people, by the people and for the people.
