A Historic Afternoon in LeClaire Hosted by Diane Kruse – Tuesday, July 10, 2018

The historic riverfront town of LeClaire offers unique specialty shops, antiques, historic attractions and so much more!  Located just a few short miles north of the Quad Cities on the Mississippi River, LeClaire offers an experience that will last a lifetime.

This guided networking event is open to all IGIA convention attendees, including non-golfers, spouses and guests. 

Registration Fee: $80 (Registration is Limited to First 50 People)

Registration Deadline: Friday, June 22, 2018.

Cancellation Policy: Written notice of cancellation must be provided to the IGIA Office before 4:30 p.m., Friday, June 22 for a refund to be processed. There will be NO REFUNDS after the June 22 deadline.  Thanks for your understanding and assistance.



11:30 a.m. | Shuttle Bus Departs from Isle Casino Hotel Bettendorf

*LeClaire Tourism Director will be on the bus sharing town history and highlighting popular area attractions.


11:45 am – 1:15 p.m. | Lunch at Crane and Pelican (http://www.craneandpelican.com/)

Crane and Pelican is a family owned and operated café and bar featuring classy comfort food and desserts served in an 1851 River Boat Captain's Mansion with a spectacular view of the Mississippi River. An artist studio and gallery is featured on the 2nd level.

Lunch includes Salad, Choice of Entrée (Chicken Marsala, Pork Chop or Home-made Meatloaf), Smashed Potatoes, Seasonal Vegetables, Beer Bread Muffins and Fudge Brownies with Chocolate Sauce and Whipped Cream.  A choice of soda, iced tea and coffee is included with the lunch.  Cash bar services will also be available during lunch.


1:30 – 2 p.m. | Antique Archaeology: Home of the "American Pickers" (www.antiquearchaeology.com)

The two-story former fabrication shop is the home base for the American Pickers and now houses some of the best picks and a merchandise store.  Its owner, LeClaire’s own Mike Wolfe, is a professional antique picker. Mike and Frank Fritz are the hosts of American Pickers, a show on the History Channel.

2 – 3 p.m. | Mississippi River Distilling Company (www.mrdistilling.com)

It is LeClaire’s own micro-distillery creating vodka, gin and bourbon from local grains! People who visit the distillery will be able to witness the entire process of liquor creation on site. From the milling of the grain to the fermentation, distillation, aging and bottling; everything from grain to glass will be done at the distillery. The shop features their handmade products as well as glassware, apparel and other souvenirs.
