The 17th Annual Iowa Grocery Industry Association Hall of Fame Dinner will take place Thursday, October 28, 2010, at the Sheraton West Des Moines Hotel. The event will begin at 5:30 p.m. with a reception, which will be followed by the program and dinner at 6:45 p.m.
Advance registration for the Hall of Fame Dinner, which will open in the near future, is available at the price of $99 per person or $895 for a table of 10. Registration forms must be returned to the IGIA office no later than Thursday, October 14. No refunds will be granted after Thursday, October 7.
As tradition, the Retailer of the Year and Supplier of the Year will both be announced at the dinner. Other award recipients, such as Volunteer of the Year, GroPAC Award and Lifetime Achievement Award, have also been recognized at past banquets.
Nominations are currently being accepted by the IGIA for its Hall of Fame awards. All nominations need to be made directly to the Iowa Grocery Industry Association by Friday, July 16. They will be kept on record for consideration by the IGIA Hall of Fame Dinner Committee when it meets in July to determine the next class of Hall of Fame inductees. Retailer of the Year nominations can be made by filling out the form available through the link below. Supplier of the Year and Lifetime Achievement Award nominations – which have no set criteria for outside nominations so please be very descriptive with the reasoning – can be mailed, faxed or e-mailed to the IGIA office.
