2008 IGIA Kids Convention

The 2008 Iowa Grocery Industry Association Kids Convention promises to be one of the best yet. Lindsay Nissen, water park manager and children activities coordinator at Bridges Bay Resort, will be in charge of the kids programming this year and she has a lot of outstanding sessions planned.

A few of the new activities being incorporated into this year’s Kids Convention include going to the new indoor water park at Bridges Bay, holding video game tournaments and playing miniature golf. These three exciting experiences will be accompanied by a visit to Arnolds Park Amusement Park, scavenger and treasure hunts, hoola hoop contests, relay races, parachute games, sidewalk chalk and much more. And who could pass up on movie night, which will include both popcorn and smores.

The Kids Convention is for children ages 5-12, and it will divided into two groups. Group one is for kids who are five and six years old while group two is for the 7- to 12-year-olds. Group one children are allowed to participate in certain activities with kids in group two as long as they are with an older sibling. However, when activities are held off site, group one kids will remain at the resort.

In the event of bad weather, all activities will be moved indoors.

Family Fun Day at Boji Splash Indoor Water Park

Come and enjoy a day of fun with your family at Boji Splash – Bridges Bay’s indoor water park facility – on Wednesday, July 9 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. This event will run concurrently with the Mueller-Yurgae Associates Early Bird Golf Tournament, giving spouses and their children another opportunity to have fun on the first day of the IGIA Convention. Included in the Family Fun Day will be a pizza party and the option to play at the Boji Splash indoor water park. Kids Convention Registration Information

Cost: $85 per child

      •  Includes entry to Boji Splash & Arnolds Park

      •  Includes all meals and food

Age Requirements: Children ages 5 to 12 years old

      •  Group 1 – Kids ages 5 & 6 years old

      •  Group 2 – Kids ages 7-12 years old

*Please remember to list your children who will be attending the Kids Convention in the lower right-hand corner of the 2008 IGIA Convention Registration Form. And do not forget to include their age!
